It's Time to Stop Whining and Start Wine-ing

Hello friends!

      It's Spring, and to me that means fresh beginnings and trying new things. Things such as exploring new parts of New York City & beyond, cooking, and discovering new WINES to pair with the foods I cook!

      I used to think that all wine tasted the same, but now after some studying and some palette training, I have come to appreciate the subtlties and complexities of all different types of varietals.

      Currently my favorite wine is the 2012 Stefaner Meyer Silvaner from Pfalz, Germany. It's a delicious white medium-bodied wine with hints of stone fruit (peaches, nectarines, apricots) and finishes with a nice fruity dryness. I would pair it with a delicous brunch-style veggie quiche or perhaps a white fish entree for dinner.
